These respirators should be used to protectthe wearer from solid and non-volatile liquidparticles.

Particulate filter respirators are classified byfiltering efficiency and maximum total inwardleakage performance & also by inhalationresistance.

These respirators can be used to protectagainst mechanically generated particulatessuch as those generated from sanding, grinding, drilling, sweeping etc. theserespirators have filters that can help reducebreathing in pathogenic biological airborneparticulates such as influenza virus.

Fitting Instructions

1.  Failure to follow all instructions andlimitations on the use of this respiratorand / or failure to wear this respiratorduring all times of exposure can reducerespirator effectiveness and result insickness or death.

2. Before use, wearer must first betrained by the employer for properrespirator use in accordance withapplicable Safety and HealthStandards. Respiratory protectionappliances are to be selecteddepending on the type andconcentration of the hazardoussubstances.

3. The respirator may only be used if thetype and concentration of the harmfulsubstances are known. In case ofunknown substances or concentrationsor variable conditions, breathingapparatus should be used.

4. Non-ventilated containers, mines, canals should not be entered with theparticle filtering half masks & also notallowed in explosive atmosphere.

5. If the respirator becomes damaged orbreathing becomes difficult, leave thecontaminated area, discard and replacethe respirator. Also leave thecontaminated area immediately ifdizziness or other distress occurs.

2. Exhale sharply into the respirator.

3. If air leaks around the nose, readjust the nose clip to eliminate leakage. Repeat the above fitcheck

4. If air leaks at the respirator edges, work the straps back along the sides of the head toeliminate leakage. Repeat the above fit check.

Usage Limitations

These respirators are suitable for use inconcentration of solid and non-volatile liquidparticles upto the following limits

  • Do not use for protection against Gases, Vapor or in atmospheres containing less than 17% Oxygen.
  • Do not use with beard or other facial hair that prevent direct contact between the face and the edge of the respirator.
  • Do not use when concentrations of contaminants are immediately dangerous to life and health, are unknown, or when particulate concentration exceed the maximum use level / or other levels determined by your National Occupational Safety and Health Authorities.
